Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson Kill Nazis as Real-Life WWII Spies in Ministry of Ungentlema

Publish date: 2024-07-22

Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for Guy Ritchie‘s new World War II film “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” starring Henry Cavill (“The Witcher”), Alan Ritchson (“Reacher”), Eiza González (“Ambulance”), Henry Golding (“Snake Eyes”), Alex Pettyfer, Cary Elwes and more. The film is set for a theatrical release on April 19.

Billed as an “outrageous true story,” the action spy comedy is inspired by true events about U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s and James Bond author Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The synopsis reads, “this clandestine squad’s unconventional and entirely ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis significantly changed the course of the war and gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit.”

The trailer shows the formation of the team, with Cavill’s character assembling a covert cadre of Nazi killers. “You won’t like them,” he tells Elwes’ character. “They’re all…bad.” In a bloody montage, the undercover agents go on a Nazi murder spree, as Cavill’s character gleefully sticks his tongue out as he unloads rounds of bullets.
