American Idol‘s Iam Tongi Teases New Music with Fans

On Wednesday, Tongi took to his Instagram account to share a brief clip from a new original song he’s been working on called “Come Through.” Tongi wrote that he’s “super excited” about his new music, telling fans to “stay tuned.”

“I gotta be honest, another phone call ain’t gonna cut it,” Tongi can be heard singing on the track. “Can’t stay on hold too long with your lovin’ / I wanna hang up and hold onto something.”

The song isn’t completely new to fans who have attended some of Tongi’s live performances. One Instagram user commented that they heard Tongi perform the track at one of his concerts and were waiting for him to release it.

Tongi also shared a live performance video of the song on his YouTube channel last year. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to hear Tongi’s voice in the clip, so a studio version of the song will be great to have available.

While fans are waiting for Tongi to release his new music, they can listen to some of the tracks he’s already released. That includes the song he released as part of his time on American Idol, “I’ll Be Seeing You.”

Tongi has also released a duet of his audition song “Monsters” with James Blunt himself. The pair performed the song together during the season finale. Tongi dedicated his first performance of the song to his late father.

The singer also released a single called “Why Kiki?” last year, and he has a holiday EP called An Iam Tongi Christmas, featuring covers of “White Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” and “Mele Kalikimaka.”
